✨A Dream Come True at Malamadre Motorcycles✨

In 2016, when I was 21, I stumbled upon @malamadremotorcycles motorcycles and was instantly hooked. Their builds, their style, their entire vibe—it was everything I loved about motorcycles. They became one of my biggest inspirations when I rebuilt my Ducati Monster 600 from ‘97 🫶

Now, at 30, I found myself standing in their shop in Bali, meeting Dirk, the mastermind behind it all. Walking through the space, seeing the incredible builds up close, was surreal! But the absolute highlight? Getting to collaborate with them and ride one of their motorcycles around Bali. Pinch me! 🥰

Dreams have a funny way of coming full circle, and this was definitely one of those moments. Huge thanks to Malamadre for the experience—I’ll be reliving this one for a long time! 🏍️✨☀️🎉

Riding in Bali is a whole different world compared to Europe. Traffic rules? More like traffic suggestions. Lanes? Optional (but we do ride on the left side). Road conditions? Anything from smooth asphalt to jungle paths barely wide enough for a scooter.

You dodge dogs, weave through chaos, and somehow, it all just flows. The biggest rule? Keep moving, hesitation will get you stuck real quick.

It’s messy, unpredictable, and a little wild… but honestly? It makes every ride an adventure and I absoloutely LOVE this kind of functioning caos ☺️❤️✌️✨🛵

Took a bus, then another. Flew to Copenhagen. Crashed at my little sister’s place. Flew to Bangkok. Slept (or tried to) on the airport floor for 8 hours. Then one last flight, and I made it!

All this while rocking moto boots, a 20kg backpack, a 7kg backpack, and carrying my helmet like an emotional support pet 🪖 10/10 recommend for the full adventure experience 👍

I personally feel like there are lots of people who sell everything and just leave to travel the world, it’s not really a new idea and I am deffinetly not the first person doing this. But even though it’s not new, I still feel like most people do not share the ”before” process. To me it feels like everyone just automatically fast forwards to the travel part and that the preparing part wasn’t a big deal. TO ME IT IS! 😅

Hence, this post and the next few posts I will share all the stuff I did (and am still doing) to prepare for a life decision like this.

I am not posting this for people to feel sorry for me haha it is just to be transparent that I am a human being that has ✨anxiety✨ and ✨adhd✨ and the difficulties that bring while planning big trips like this. I QUIT MY 9-5 TO MOVE TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!! 🏍️ 🔜 🌏🇦🇺

After years of thinking about it and now being given an ultimatum, I decided to QUIT my safe and stable 9-5 job and get a working holiday visa to Australia! There are so many reasons why I did this and why it happened now. There are also still so many things I have to do. I do not really have the budget for this or a water tight plan but I am a firm believer of if there is a will there is a way 😊

I am selling everything except the things that will fit into my 68L backpack. I have canceld my apartment contract and will be leaving Sweden in Febuary! After years of thinking about it and now being given an ultimatum, I decided to QUIT my safe and stable 9-5 job and get a working holiday visa to Australia! There are so many reasons why I did this and why it happened now. There are also still so many things I have to do. I do not really have the budget for this or a water tight plan but I am a firm believer of if there is a will there is a way 😊

GRWM to go on my very last ride with big boy here in northern Sweden. This was in the beginning of October 2024 and it was probably one of the coldest rides I’ve ever done in my life 🥶 Big Boy is now back at @dmontagemotor 👍 I already have the itch… how will I survive?
Right now it is -1 and it’s been snowing here and I already fell on the ice haha 😂

I firmly belive that some people are meant for heat and some people are meant for the cold…. I am 100% meant for heat. I can ride in 30-35 C weather no problem if I drink enough water. In fact I love it. I also love humidity. When it’s 1-0 C my body just simply shuts down, I cannot move and I cannot breathe properly. I have so much respect for people riding in winter conditions my body simply cannot take the cold, even with seat and grip heaters and proper gear.

I chopped my hair off by myself in my bathroom last weekend. My hair has been falling out for the last couple of months in great chunks and it got really see through at the ends. It’s kinda scary to be honest, but the reason is simple…. it’s high stress over a long period of time. The new hair is kinda freeing in a way though. Chopping off dead ends, chopping off weight and past tenses while looking back at yourself in the bathroom mirror. These next couple of months I will be making some big changes in my life. I have no clue how it’s gonna turn out but all I know is that I cannot continue in this little hamster wheel I’m in right now. I cannot share everything going on in my personal life here on social media but just remember to be kind to eachother because you never know what someone is going through. Peoples inside struggles do not always show on the outside, unless thier hair is literally falling out 💇‍♀️ Wish I could go for a nice sunny ride but it’s snowing/raining here in Östersund 😂🫠 #motoadde

Nivå 2 är gjord så att den bygger på det du lär dig från Nivå 1. Jag tyckte det var stor skillnad från nivå 1 till 2. Det märktes att nivå 2 va svårare. Mer svår balans hållning finns i nivå 2 och lite svårare övningar generellt. MEN det va också tydligt att det byggde på det vi lärde oss i nivå 1 och det var en naturlig övergång tyckte jag.

Många av momenten görs utan ABS. Det är rekommenderat att man försöker hitta dessa inställningar på sin motorcykel själv innan man kommer till kursen. Jag hade försökt innan men hade inte lyckats klura ut det. Som TUR var hade en av instruktörerna koll och hjälpte mig så att jag också kunde testa övningarna utan ABS. Det va jätte kul att få känna skillnaden med och utan abs, och att få kunna öva detta med andra runt omkring mig som kan hjälpa utifall något gick snett. Det är nog det bästa med dessa kurserna. Du känner dig trygg till att faktiskt kunna testa moment som du annars hade tyckt varit läskigt att göra själv utan någon hjälp. 🤗

Efter både nivå 1 & 2 kännde jag mig direkt hur mycket bättre min körning har blivit och det är en sån fantastisk känsla! 🙌

I’ve never taken a real offroad course before. I’ve just been riding offroad with the knowledge I have from watching youtube or the few times I’ve been riding with others. This was such a good course for me and I learned so much.

The best part was the instructors who could see my riding and give me pointers and advice immediately during each exercise. It’s hard to see yourself riding and know what to change even if you’re filming yourself. Having someone else with teaching experience next to me who could guide me, eventually led me to actually feeling what was the correct way to ride.
